Quantum Imaging Exploiting Twisted Photon Pairs

Quantum correlation of two-photon states is utilized to suppress the environmental noise in imaging down single-photon level. However, size coherence area photon pairs limits applications quantum based on spatial correlations. Here, a scheme exploiting twisted with tunable spatial-correlation regions circumvent this limitation proposed. A bulk-density coincidence employed enhance signal. Specifically, re-scaled image signal introduced, which immune background intensity distribution profile pulse. destructive interference between anti-bunched pair and bunched process revealed. This work can pave way for twisted-photon-based holography microscopy.
